As a kid growing up in the ’90s, DBZ was the show to watch, especially because (shoutout to) my late grandfather’s hobby was bootlegging VHS rentals. Back then, all you needed was two VCRs. Don’t judge. We didn’t have cable, and I wasn’t into Soul Train or golf. I am thankful for those fun and sometimes static/scan lines-filled weekend afternoons after dim sum.
